NFL in Los Angeles

As you have all heard, the St. Louis Rams have relocated to Los Angeles. They will actually play at the Coliseum for a couple of seasons before playing in Inglewood, CA when their new stadium gets built.

Let’s be honest; the Rams should not have left LA. Granted, they won SB 34 in 1999, but St. Louis does not seem to be a football city. LA was a bargaining chip for NFL owners to use to get better stadium deals for themselves, which is why it took 21 years for the league to cave in to various requests to have pro football in Los Angeles.

Outlook: The survival of the NFL in LA depends on two things; 1, Winning. If a team there does not win, the fans can just flock to one of countless beaches or ski slopes in the San Bernardino Mountains. No one here wants to see a bad team. 2. Marketing Strategy. Who are they going to try to bait to come to these games? Believe it or not, a lot of college football fans love the NFL and Hollywood can make a movie out of an event of an NFL game. There is no excuse for blowing #2, Rams PR.

LA Rams officials: Thank you very much for making the best decision, which is returning home.
