NFL Week 15 Good, Bad, and Ugly

Well, another week, another loss for my Silver and Black, but if we lose out we’re guaranteed a top 2 pick and get Cam Ward or, if we’re fortunate, Shadeur Sanders. But the biggest dumpster fire resides in New York, where the Giants rival my Raiders as the worst team in the league. As for the rest of this week’s games…

Good: The Atlanta Falcons staying in the playoff race by beating a team who played a quarterback your humble writer is better than. The Falcons QB is not playing as well as he has in the past but he did enough this week. Honorable Mentions: Buffalo Bills beating the Detroit Lions; Minnesota Vikings beating the Chicago Bears.

Bad: The Carolina Panthers no-showing against the Dallas Cowboys. They couldn’t be effective against one of the worst defenses in the league and the Panthers offense wasn’t much better. They made the Cowboys’ quarterback look competent. Other Noteworthy Mentions: Indy falling out of the top seven in the AFC by losing to the Broncos: San Francisco and the Rams setting offense back to the Stone Age, with the Rams winning 12-6 with zero touchdowns in the game.

The Downright Ugly: The New York teams both being an embarrassment to the Big Apple. Yes, the Jets have more wins but there has been too much drama surrounding both teams and obviously the New York Media is on their cases like a ton of bricks. Although the Jets have QB Aaron Rodgers, he’s about 40. Neither team has any other quality quarterbacks on their rosters. Of these two teams, only the Giants are in prime position to draft a top quarterback. Dishonorable Mention: Mark Davis needs to have Tom Brady manage the Football Operations of the Las Vegas Raiders, because Mark simply isn’t cutting it with his coach and GM decisions. I’m not saying Brady would be any better but I am saying it’s worth giving Brady a chance to be a good Front Office executive.
