Well, another week, another loss for my Silver and Black, but if we lose out we’re guaranteed a top 2 pick and get Cam Ward or, if we’re fortunate, Shadeur Sanders. But the biggest dumpster fire resides in New York, where the Giants rival my Raiders as the worst team in the league. As for the rest of this week’s games…

Good: The Atlanta Falcons staying in the playoff race by beating a team who played a quarterback your humble writer is better than. The Falcons QB is not playing as well as he has in the past but he did enough this week. Honorable Mentions: Buffalo Bills beating the Detroit Lions; Minnesota Vikings beating the Chicago Bears.

Bad: The Carolina Panthers no-showing against the Dallas Cowboys...

Week 14 was highlighted by the Chiefs getting fortunate again with their 3rd string kicker bouncing a game winning field goal off the upright and through for a 19-17 win over the Chargers. The quarterback situations of the awful teams, yes, I’m talking to you three, Jags, Raiders, and Giants plus I supposedly can throw the Jets in there and they are by far the most disappointing in a sense they have a Hall of Fame QB under center in Rodgers, who should consider being a QB coach after this year because IMO he can’t play consistently at a high level anymore. Anyway, here are the rest of my Good, Bad, and Ugly this week:

Good: The Bills-Rams game for being the highest scoring game of the season...

Week 13 featured three games on Thursday, which in the US was Thanksgiving. Bears-Lions, Giants-Cowboys, and Dolphins-Packers. There was also a game on Friday, Raiders-Chiefs. Saturday was College Football day, then on Sunday the NFL slate resumed. On that day there was a play that will live in NFL infamy for days to come. More on that in the Downright Ugly section.

Good: Aidan O’Connell. Even though the Raiders kicker couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn and the center and himself weren’t in sync on the Raiders final play of the game, he did pass for over 230 yards and two second half touchdowns against a great defense in Kansas City. He may be auditioning for next year’s backup job since it’s quite likely they will draft a top quarterback in 2025’s NFL Draft...

Week 12 of the NFL Season has brought about some concerns, like will the Raiders win a game the rest of the season? I see two potential wins for them; Jacksonville and New Orleans. Neither have good QBs. Anyway, here are my Good, Bad, and Ugly this week.

Good: Denver rolls up the Raiders and smokes them by ten. Bo Nix is a legit rookie of the year candidate. Also, the Raiders solidified their draft position so they can draft Shadeur Sanders, who I think will highlight a poor QB class. Honorable Mentions: Dallas holding on to beat the Commanders, Kansas City rebounding late to beat the Panthers.

Bad: Minshew’s injury. He hurt his non-throwing shoulder late in Week 12’s loss to the Broncos. Now all the Raiders have are Desmond Ridder and if he returns, Aidan O’Connell...

Well, once again, the Raiders lost. When one thing goes right there’s always two things that disintegrate so that the team blows every week. I wonder if someone cursed the Raiders or it’s down to utter incompetence by everyone there calling the shots. Probably option B. Anyway, there is one bright spot for the Raiders, which will be discussed now:

Good: Raiders TE Brock Bowers is HIM! I can only hope he will demonstrate patience while the rest of the team seemingly is fertilizer. They also need a quarterback so I’m wondering if they’re going against the code and tanking for Shadeur Sanders or Cam Ward. Who knows? Honorable Mentions: In the battle of felines, the Lions mauled the Jaguars; The Broncos beating the Falcons.

Bad: The Chiefs are unbeaten no more, losing to the Bills...

Here’s a bonus Good to kick off my take this week: The Raiders didn’t lose this week. Go Figure.

Anyway, here are my official Good, Bad, and Ugly in week ten:

Good: The Chiefs remaining undefeated courtesy of a blocked field goal at the end of regulation. Denver gave them all they can handle but KC still won. Honorable Mentions: Carolina getting win number three in OT, San Francisco 49ers beating the Buccaneers on a last second field goal, Steelers beating an underrated Washington Commanders team.

Bad: The Atlanta Falcons losing to the New Orleans Saints who have an inconsistent QB in terms of both talent and availability. What are the Saints now, 3-7? There is a silver lining, though: the Pope is a fan of the Saints, which explains the loss. Look him up on X...

Sorry for the two day delay, but a lot has happened in the NFL. The Raiders made OC Getsy a scapegoat as well as their offensive line and quarterback coaches. More on that later. Elsewhere the Cowboys might be just as bad as the Raiders. The only difference is Dallas has one more win than Las Vegas. Baltimore keeps rolling. Anyway, here are my good, bad, and ugly this week

Good: The Los Angeles Rams coming from behind to beat the Seattle Seahawks. They may be a sleeper team for the playoffs if they play like what they have been lately. Honorable Mentions: The Ravens giving the Broncos a dose of reality, The Carolina Panthers getting their second win of the season with a one-point win over the Saints.

Bad: The Chicago Bears performance against the Arizona Cardinals...

Week Eight provided at least one upset when the Browns defeated the Ravens. Another kind of upset was the Raiders covering the spread against the Chiefs. The Rams came to life last week and three days ago they beat the Vikings by ten. But here are my good, bad, and ugly for Week eight:

Good: The Commanders winning on a Hail Mary at the end of the game. Quarterback Jayden Daniels showed me why he should be the offensive rookie of the year barring a setback or a strong showing in the second half of the season by Bears rookie QB Caleb Williams. Honorable Mentions: Lions conquering the Titans 52-14, Falcons beating the Buccaneers

Bad: The Raiders RedZone offense...

Week 7 was another week of football where there are a few key injuries to star players. Brandon Aiyuk is said to have a Torn ACL. DeShaun Watson is rumored to have an Achilles Tear. Both of these two are likely done for the year. In lesser injury news, Aidan O’Connell broke his thumb. He’ll probably be out for at least a month. Injuries notwithstanding, here are my good, bad, and ugly:

Good: The Raiders defense showed marked improvement. Yes, they allowed 20 points. All of the points they surrendered, including the scoop-and-score, were the fault of a pathetic offense. More on that later. Honorable Mention: Russell Wilson still has it.

Bad: The injuries are a noteworthy mention but I’ll have to say that the Patriots have seen better days...

Week Six was a sign that teams need quarterbacks and coaching to play in the NFL. Here are my good, bad, and ugly this week:

The Good: I could go with the LA Chargers or the Atlanta Falcons, but after everything the Buccaneers went through this week with the hurricane, I’m going with them. Honorable mentions (besides the teams I mentioned above): Green Bay crushing Arizona, Houston over the Patriots, Indianapolis over Tennessee.

The Bad: Dallas Cowboys being beaten by Detroit on their owner’s birthday. One thing in life all should know is not to make your boss mad on his birthday. Other Noteworthy Mentions: Cleveland losing to Philadelphia, Washington losing to Baltimore, Jacksonville losing to the Bears.
